O&Z Services Payment Policy
Last Updated: 27/12/2025
At O&Z Services, we aim to keep payment terms clear and fair. This Payment Policy explains accepted payment methods, deposits, invoice timing, and how we handle cancellations and late payments.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Debit or credit card (secure payment link or card reader)
- Cash (only by prior agreement)
2. Deposit & Booking Fee
- For some bookings, we may request a deposit (commonly £100) to reserve the time slot.
- If a deposit is taken, it is normally deducted from the final balance.
- If we have already incurred costs (for example materials ordered or labour reserved) and the booking is cancelled, the deposit may be retained to cover those costs.
3. Balance Payment & Invoicing
- Unless agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due immediately on completion of the work.
- For larger projects, staged payments can be agreed in advance (for example: deposit / mid-stage / completion).
- Where certificates, compliance paperwork or warranties apply, these may be issued once the account is settled.
4. Late Payments
- Consumer customers: If payment is overdue, we may send reminders and may charge reasonable recovery/admin costs where permitted by law.
- Business customers: If the customer is acting in the course of business, statutory late payment interest and recovery charges may apply where eligible under the relevant UK legislation.
- Continued non-payment may result in suspension of non-urgent services and/or recovery action.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations should be made as early as possible.
- If work has started, payment will be due for completed labour and any materials purchased/used.
- Where a deposit/booking fee was taken, it may be retained where we cannot re-allocate the slot or where costs were incurred.
6. Materials & Special Orders
- For special-order materials, we may require payment for those materials in advance.
- Materials supplied remain the property of O&Z Services until paid for in full.
7. Disputes
If you have concerns about an invoice, contact us as soon as possible. We will review the issue and aim to resolve it fairly and promptly.
8. Your Statutory Rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights. For consumer customers, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill and you may have remedies available under applicable UK consumer law.
